Families across Ireland are looking for someone like you

Nuala helps families arrange practical help for an older relative. Sometimes that’s a taxi or a plumber. Sometimes it’s a hairdresser who’ll come to the house, or someone handy who’ll change the batteries in a remote.

Repairs, cleaning, gardening, tech help, transport, errands — if you offer a service that makes life easier for an older person, we’d like to hear from you.

We get in touch

We gather information for families on what you can offer and answer your questions.

We do some checks

Families need to know who’s coming through their door. We’ll guide you through it and tell you what we need.

You join the circle

We introduce you to families.

If you’re charging, then they pay us and we pay you, less credit card charges, if applicable. Our bill goes to the family for organising things.

Families often just want someone nearby who can just drop in and empty the dishwasher. It varies!

You’ll typically tell Revenue that you’re self-employed. Depending on what you’re offering, you may want Public Liability insurance which starts at €150/year. If you’re working exclusively with older people, then you’ll also need Garda vetting. We can help with that.

You’ll get background information from the family, details on what they want and a contact number in case there’s a concern.

Apart from details on the work done, families like to hear how their parent is doing.
